NEON has just released the official trailer for Infinity Pool, a sci-fi horror film written and directed by Canadian Brandon Cronenberg (Antiviral, Possessor), son of the famous David Cronenberg (Brood, Scanners, Videodrome).
Starring Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia, Godzilla vs. Kong, The Northman), Mia Goth (X: A Sexy Horror Story), and Cleopatra Coleman (Shadow of the Moon), Infinity Pool will debut in US theaters on January 27.
Plot: James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are two wealthy young lovers on vacation. Their all-inclusive resort boasts island tours and enchanting beaches, but outside the hotel gates, something far more dangerous and seductive awaits them, beyond the boundaries of paradise.
With the guidance of the mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), the two leave the protected confines of the resort to venture outside, where violence and horror reign. However, after a tragic accident, the couple discovers that the laws of the land require the death penalty for any crime, but if a person is wealthy, they can afford to have a copy die in their place.
In the cast of Infinity Pool There are also Thomas Kretschmann (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Amanda Brugel, John Ralston, Caroline Boulton, Jeff Ricketts, and Anita Major.
Alexander Skarsgård also appears among the executive producers alongside Tom Quinn, Jeff Deutchman, Emily Thomas, and Celluloid Dreams.
