Online four new posters of Infinity Pool (2023), the sci-fi horror coming to U.S. theaters Jan. 27.
Written and directed by Canadian Brandon Cronenberg (Antiviral, Possessor), Infinity Pool stars Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia, Godzilla vs. Kong, The Northman), Mia Goth (X: A Sexy Horror Story) and Cleopatra Coleman (In the Shadow of the Moon).
The Italian release date has not yet been announced.
The story sheds light on wealthy James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman), two young lovers on vacation. Their all-inclusive resort boasts island tours and lovely beaches, but outside the hotel gates something far more dangerous and seductive awaits them, beyond the confines of paradise.
With the guidance of the mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), the two leave the protected spaces of the resort to venture outside, where violence and horror reign. After a tragic incident, however, the pair discovers that the laws of the place require the death penalty for any crime but, if a person is rich, he can afford to see a copy die instead.
The cast also includes Thomas Kretschmann (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Amanda Brugel, John Ralston, Caroline Boulton, Jeff Ricketts and Anita Major.
Alexander Skarsgård also appears among the executive producers along with Jeff Deutchman, Tom Quinn, Emily Thomas and Celluloid Dreams.
