Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia, Godzilla vs. Kong, The Northman) will be part of the cast of Infinity Pool for NEON and Topic Studios. This is a science fiction genre film featuring Canadian Brandon Cronenberg (Antiviral, Possessor), the son of the famous David Cronenberg (Brood, Scanners, Videodrome), as director.
NEON will be responsible for the distribution of Infinity Pool in the U.S. while Elevation Pictures will distribute it in Canada.
Plot: James and Em are two wealthy, young lovers on vacation. Their all-inclusive resort boasts island tours and lovely beaches, but outside the hotel gates something far more dangerous and seductive awaits them, beyond the confines of paradise.
Infinity Pool is produced by NEON, Topic Studios, Telefilm Canada, Croatian Film Fund, Film Forge, Elevation Pictures, Rob Cotterill, Hero Squared and 4 Film. Alexander Skarsgård also appears among the executive producers along with Tom Quinn, Jeff Deutchman, Emily Thomas and Celluloid Dreams.
Filming will start on September 6.
