The final Italian poster for Ice Cream Man, the new horror movie from Eli Roth, director of Cabin Fever and Hostel, is now online.
Also released is the featurette "Bimbocalisse," in which Roth and the cast share some behind-the-scenes details about Ice Cream Man and their experience working with 80 young performers. The video also takes a look at the making of the sequence Roth dubbed "Bimbocalisse," in which dozens of children unleash their fury in an escalating frenzy of chaos and sadism. One of the movie's wildest scenes, the sequence also echoes Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds.
Co-produced and co-written by Roth, Ice Cream Man will hit Italian theaters on October 29, 2026.
Although it shares its title with the 1995 cult movie starring Clint Howard, Ice Cream Man is neither a remake nor a reboot, but an entirely new story described as a “terrifying and insane” project.
The film marks the first production to emerge from Roth's new partnership, The Horror Section. According to the director, it starts out as a ’70s/’80s-style comedy before gradually descending into something much darker, with a group of dangerous children at the center of the story.
Plot: The quiet suburban town of Bayleen Bay spirals into chaos when a mysterious ice cream man (Ari Millen) hands out frozen treats that turn children into ruthless killers.
The cast includes Ari Millen, Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, and Eli Roth. The original score is by Snoop Dogg.
