According to revelations by Deadline and The Wrap, US actor Will Smith will star in the sequel to I am Legend (aka I am Legend), the horror film directed by Francis Lawrence in 2007 and starring himself.
The sites also reveal the involvement of actor Michael B. Jordan (Creed - Born to Fight, Black Panther) and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, the author of the script for the first chapter.
Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan also appear on the film crew as producers through their production companies Outlier Society and Westbrook Studios along with their partners Elizabeth Raposo and Jon Mone. They are also joined by Greg Lessans, James Lassiter and Ryan Shimazaki.
The sequel to I am Legend will be targetted by Warner Bros. and at the moment the name of the director has not been revealed.
I am legend is based on the novel of the same name by Richard Matheson as well as The Last Man on Earth (1964) e 1975: White eyes on planet Earth (1971).
