House of Forbidden Secrets (USA - 2013), the horror film written and directed by Todd Sheets (Zombie Bloodbath, Dreaming Purple Neon), will be available on DVD and Blu-ray thanks to Stephen Biro's extreme horror label Unearthed Films. The film will be available starting Nov. 13 while, as early as today, you can pre-order on Amazon.
House of Forbidden Secrets is an homage to Italian horror cinematography of the 1980s, in particular to ...And you will live in terror! The afterlife (aka The Beyond) by Lucio Fulci. The film's soundtrack is also by Fabio Frizzi, a longtime collaborator of the Roman director for whom he composed the music for the cult Zombie Flesh Eaters, Fear in the City of the Living Dead and ...And you will live in terror! The afterlife (to name but a few).
Plot: Jacob Hunt (Antwoine Steele) has always taken a beating from life. His wife has left him, his friends have abandoned him, and his children rarely visit him. A security officer position at an old mansion might help him take his mind off his catastrophic past and move on.
The first night on the job, however, coincides with the anniversary of a tragedy that occurred in that very building, a place, this one, that holds terrible secrets. The nights in that manor will become increasingly terrifying, and Jacob will end up pinned in a horrific dimension from which it will be difficult to escape.
The cast includes Antwoine Steele, Lew Temple, Dyanne Thorne, George Hardy, Lloyd Kaufman, Allan Kayser, Howard Maurer, Nicole Santorella, Millie Milan, Bryan David, Michaela Paxton Tarbell, Brad Westmar, Ari Lehman, Aj Finney and Iris Runyon. The soundtrack is by Fabio Frizzi (Seven Notes in Black, Zombies 2, Fear in the City of the Living Dead) and Toshiyuki Hiraoka.
The director also handled cinematography and editing while Bryan David and Amanda Payton appear in the film's production.

I hope to find it on VimeoOnDemand as Dreaming Purple Neon...but this time at least subtitled in English.
