Katherine Dey, a 30-year-old nurse from New York, has drawn attention to herself because of her unusual hobby namely her passion for gory cakes--gory cakes. Prior to her course in nursing, the woman had studied illustration and sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design. Today she can take advantage of both her studies, both artistic and medical, by blending them together to make horror cakes depicting what she sees in the emergency room at which she works as a nurse.
Her hyper-realistic cakes simulate horrific dishes made from babies, severed heads, human organs, viscera and even several dissected creatures. Katherine Dey (pictured below left), a mother of two little girls, started creating realistic, horror cakes about two years ago. Since then she has not stopped and has decided to delight the public with her sweet cakes.
His dream? To open a horror bakery of course!
