Hideous!, the hilarious horror film directed by Charles Band in 1997, will be available for the first time on Blu-ray (special edition) thanks to Full Moon starting March 21. Horror veteran Charles Band is known for directing several horror doll movies including, we recall, Killer Toys, Blood Dolls, Doll Graveyard, DevilDolls and Ooga Booga. The director also appears as executive producer on Stuart Gordon's celebrated Dolls - Dolls and the beloved Puppet Master saga.
Rich in monstrosity and splatter, Hideous!, features a group of collectors of deformed human beings who will have to deal not only with the police but also with the specimens of their atrocious and monstrous collection. The creatures preserved in forlmaldehyde are actually not as dead as they might seem....
The screenplay of Hideous! Is by Neal Marshall Stevens. The cast includes Michael Citriniti, Rhonda Griffin, Mel Johnson Jr, Jacqueline Lovell, Tracie May, Jerry O'Donnell, Mircea Constantinescu, and Alexandru Agarici.
Special effects are by Mark Rappaport and Russ Herpich.
