Official trailer and poster for Hidden in the Woods (USA- 2014), the new thriller-horror directed by Patricio Valladares and produced by Blanc Biehn Productions. The screenplay is by Bradley and Kevin Marcus and is based on the original script by Andrea Cavaletto and Patrico Valladares. Hidden in the Woods is in fact the remake of En las afueras de la ciudad, a Chilean horror-action film with dramatic overtones that Valledares himself directed in 2012 for a screenplay by Italian Andrea Cavaletto (Hyde's Secret Nightmare, Bellerophon, Doll Syndrome).
Anny and Ana are two sisters who live in a remote cabin in the woods where, for the past 20 years, they have suffered sexual and psychological violence at the hands of their own father. The man, a sleazy and unreliable drug dealer, killed his wife when their daughters were just little girls.
After years of violence, the girls decide to inform the police, hoping to make their lives better, but a series of unfortunate events will confront them with quite different dangers.
The film's cast includes familiar faces from the film industry, such as the two founders of Blanc Biehn Productions, Michael Biehn (pictured above left), as the abusive father, and his wife Jennifer Blanc, who plays the policewoman instead. They are joined by William Forsythe (The House of the Devil, Halloween - The Beginning, Infected) and Electra Avellan (Machete, Machete Kills), one of the twins seen in Planet Terror and who plays Anny here. The other actors involved are Jeannine Kaspar, Chris Browning (Blood Story), Andy Mackenzie, Nick Bateman, Evie Thompson, Luke Massy and J. LaRose (Saw III, Saw IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera).
The U.S. release date for the film will be before the end of the year.
