A few months later, we are back to talking about Hidden Devil, the short film that traces the clichés of genre cinema by combining them with those of fantasy and even mythology. Directing it is Spaniard Fran Mateu, director of the award-winning Historia Muerta (Dead Story).
The plot, teaser poster and the names of the actors who make up the cast of this interesting short film whose crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo platform started just yesterday (Hidden Devil on Indiegogo).
In Hidden Devil different techniques are also present, embracing animation (by Joan Martín Giménez), special effects, and the latest digital effects involving real actors.
Javier Botet (REC, Mama, Witching & Bitching), Javier Bódalo (The Devil's Backbone, Ghost Promotion), Pepe Mediavilla (Spanish voice actor who voiced Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings and also Morgan Freeman) and Aida Folch make up the cast.
The creation of the characters was handled by Óscar Dorian and Marta Vegas.
A sketch of the plot: long ago, King Välak and Queen Thâis were the guardians of the ancient world, a place where neither pain nor death existed. However, evil managed to creep in and manifest itself, upsetting the balance and harmony of their existences.
Hidden Devil is produced by Cafetico Films S.L. (Paco Soto and Carol Colomer).
