Plot: 17th century. Young Persephone (Hannah Arterton) is unjustly accused of witchcraft and put on trial but is saved by the timely intervention of the Mother Superior (Clare Higgins), who houses her in the monastery where she and her religious coven live. Soon after her arrival, however, Persephone begins to be tormented by terrifying visions and presences that will endanger her soul.
The screenplay of Heretiks is edited by Paul Hyett himself in collaboration with Conal Palmer and Gregory Blair (script). The film will have its world premiere at FrightFest in London on August 25.
