A24 has revealed the official trailer for Hereditary (USA – 2018), the horror film produced by A24 (The Witch, Split, The Killing of a Sacred Deer), which will premiere in US theaters on June 8, 2018.
Written and directed by Ari Aster, Hereditary deals with a family tragedy triggered by a mysterious inheritance. Presented at the Sundance Film Festival, Aster's film has been described as one of the most terrifying horror films of recent years.
Plot: The death of the Graham family matriarch plunges the entire family into unrelenting grief accompanied by gruesome events. In particular, Annie (Toni Collette) and her loved ones will learn horrible secrets related to their ancestry. As they delve deeper and deeper into their genealogical past, the Grahams find themselves facing a sad and sinister fate that they seem to have inherited. In particular, little Charlie (Milly Shapiro) seems to have fallen under the spell of evil.
