2oth Century has just released, online, the official trailer for Hellraiser, the horror film that will arrive exclusively on the Hulu platform on October 7, 2022, distributed as an "X-rated film."
Produced by Spyglass Media Group and tagged Hulu, the new Hellraiser is directed by David Bruckner, the director of The ritual and The Night House.
An official poster and new images are also available of the film.
This is the eleventh chapter on the Cenobites and is the new adaptation of the short horror novel Slaves of hell (The Hellbound Heart) by Clive Barker, a literary work that inspired the latter's 1987 film Hellraiser, the first in a successful saga.
David Bruckner's film stars Jamie Clayton as Pinhead, an iconic character previously played by Doug Bradley in no fewer than eight chapters of the saga, up to Hellraiser: Hellworld 2005.
Also in the cast of this new installment of the franchise are Brandon Flynn (Thirteen), Drew Starkey (The Streets of Evil), Odessa A'Zion (Ladyworld, Grand Army), Adam Faison, Jason Liles (Rampage), Yinka Olorunnife, Goran Visnjic (Timeless), Hiam Abbass (Blade Runner 2049), and, in the role of Pinhead, trans actress Jamie Clayton (The Snowman, The Chain).
The screenplay, on the other hand, is by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (SiREN, Super Dark Times) while Clive Barker appears on the project as a producer.
Plot: A young woman who is using drugs comes into possession of an ancient cube, an object with a puzzle structure that is actually meant to summon the Cenobites, a group of supernatural beings from the dimension of pain.
