Brandon Flynn (Thirteen) and Drew Starkey (The Streets of Evil) have joined Odessa A'Zion (Ladyworld, Grand Army) in the cast of the reboot of Hellraiser the start of filming of which has also been announced. This was reported by DreadCentral.
Produced by Spyglass Media Group and written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (SiREN, Super Dark Times), Hellraiser features David Bruckner (The Ritual, The Night House) as director.
Recall that, in the new Hellraiser, U.S. actress Odessa A'Zion will play the main character Riley and will have to deal with a group of cenobites led by a Pinhead who will deviate from the saga's iconic character. In fact, in this project, the leader of the cenobites will not be a man but a woman.
Hellraiser (1987) by Clive Barker is the first installment of the saga to which nine sequels are connected, the last three of which are unpublished in Italy. The film is based on the short horror novel Slaves of hell (The Hellbound Heart) by the same director.
The history of all the chapters of Hellraiser is connected to a cube called the "Configuration of Lamentations" or "Lemarchand Box." It is an object with a puzzle structure that, when solved, opens the door to the dimension of pain and, more specifically, hell, where victims will be tortured forever by Pinhead and his Cenobites.
