According to Deadline's announcement today, Millennium Media and Dark Horse Entertainment will produce the Hellboy: The Crooked Man, the new chapter in the saga dedicated to the character created by cartoonist Mike Mignola in 1993.
Alla regia del progetto c'è Brian Taylor (Gamer, Ghost Rider: Spirito di vendetta, Mom and Dad) mentre lo script è stato affidato a Chris Golden e Mike Mignola, il creatore di Hellboy nonché sceneggiatore di tutti i capitoli del franchise.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man will be a reboot and will feature Hellboy and a rookie B.P.R.D. agent grappling with a witch community in the Appalachian Mountains of the 1950s.
Il film è basato sull'omonimo fumetto con i disegni di Richard Corben, pubblicato da Dark Horse Comics nel luglio 2008. In Italia il fumetto è presente su Hellboy Omnibus vol.5 by Magic Press with the title. The deformed man.
