New image and featurette on practical effects for Hellboy, the long-awaited reboot that will hit Italian theaters on April 11 in its world premiere. Presented as an extremely dark adventure, Hellboy is the new film adaptation of the comic books created by Mike Mignola.
The film is directed by Neil Marshall, the director of the horror films Dog Soldiers and The Descent - Descent into Darkness.
In Hellboy, David Harbour (star of the acclaimed Netflix series Stranger Things) plays the role of the demonic superhero on a mission to London to confront the ancient spirit of an evil creature who has returned to Earth from the world of the dead. Here the legendary demon-semi-demon will discover his origins and must confront Nimue, the Blood Queen, an ancient witch thirsting for revenge against humanity. To avoid the end of the world, Hellboy will have to defeat Nimue and also other supernatural creatures that threaten to destroy Earth.
