Havenhurst (USA - 2016), l'horror sovrannaturale diretto da Andrew C. Erin, vedrà la luce nelle sale statunitensi a partire dal prossimo 10 febbraio, data che coincide con il video on demand (Dish, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu...).
The film is co-written by the director himself with Daniel Farrands (Amityville: The Awakening, Haunting in Connecticut) and stars Julie Benz (Two Evil Eyes, Saw V), here as a woman struggling with her own inner demons as she attempts to shed light on what happened to the previous tenant of her apartment.
Also in the cast are Danielle Harris (Halloween 4 and 5, Rob Zombie's Halloween, The Hatchet), Fionnula Flannagan (The Others), Belle Shouse, Josh Stamberg, Toby Huss, Jennifer Blanc (Hidden in the Woods, She Rises), Matt Lasky (Anarchy: Judgment Night), Douglas Tait ("Jack The Reaper"), Josh Stamberg, Dendrie Taylor and Brian Howe.
Trama: dopo un trattamento di riabilitazione per tossicodipendenti, a Jackie (Julie Benz) viene data una seconda possibilità con un nuovo lavoro e un appartamento presso l'Havenhurst, un complesso edile in stile gotico situato a New York. La struttura ospita oltre 3.000 residenti e innumerevoli oscuri segreti.
Una volta trasferitasi, Jackie inizia ad essere afflitta dai sensi di colpa per la perdita della figlia di otto anni. Inoltre si interesserà morbosamente della scomparsa di Danielle (Danielle Harris), l'inquilina dell'appartamento 1006. Da quel momento Jackie non solo dovrà combattere con il rimorso e il rimpianto ma anche con l'orribile realtà che si cela tra le mura di Havenhurst.
