Online the new poster for Hatching (aka Pahanhautoja), il body horror finlandese che vede in cabina di regia Hanna Bergholm (Puppet Master - 2018).
Distributed by IFC Midnight, Hatching will debut in U.S. theaters on April 29 while it will be available for video on demand starting May 17, 2022.
The story features Tinja (Siiri Solalinna), a 12-year-old gymnast who is desperately trying to please her mother, a woman who, through her popular blog, wants at all costs to convey the image of a perfect family to the world.
One night Tinja finds a strange egg that he decides to hide without his parents' knowledge and keep warm until it hatches. What comes out will not be his friend but a dangerous and monstrous creature.
In the cast of Hatching Also included are Siiri Solalinna, Sophia Heikkila, Jani Volanen, Oiva Ollila, Reino Nordin and Ida Määttänen.
The screenplay, on the other hand, is by Ilja Rautsi.
