FAIRY TALE SHERIFF - 2011 seems to be the year of sequels and ... "rip-off comedies" that twist the original content of famous novels and fairy tales. As many as three separate film versions of the Snow White story are currently in the works (including Snow White And The Seven and Snow White And The Huntsman), a film that brings zombies into the atmosphere of the novel Pride And Prejudice (Pride And Prejudice And Zombies) and a revisiting of the life of Abraham Lincoln according to which the American president was also a skilled vampire hunter (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). Although little has been said about it so far, it still seems to be active in the project of Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters, feature film intended for the direction of Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) that will show a possible "future" of the young protagonists of the fairy tale. The production has just hired Peter Stormare, Swedish actor who appeared in Fargo and The Lost World: Jurassic Park set to reappear in Italy with the live action Dylan Dog, to give him the role of Berringer, a corrupt sheriff who will cause some headaches for the protagonists.
A SHERIFF IN HANSEL AND GRETEL? - Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters will show a universe in which Hansel and Gretel (played respectively by Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton) have grown up with one thought in mind: to eliminate the witch menace from the face of the Earth. The experience recounted in the fable that made them famous has given them great determination, and on this occasion, they will have to show off the achievements of years of practice and training to face a powerful servant of evil (played by Famke Janssen).
