Presented at the CinemaCon taking place these days in Las Vegas, it seems that Halloween (USA – 2018) abbia avuto un riscontro positivo sul pubblico il quale sembra aver apprezzato alcuni cambiamenti della storia. Jamie Lee Curtis poi, presente all'evento, lo ha definito un film "spaventoso", suscitando maggiore interesse e coinvolgimento.
Intanto, in attesa della diffusione del primo trailer, è stata svelata la trama del nuovo capitolo su Michael Myers e alcuni piccoli dettagli che riguardano proprio il personaggio della Curtis. L'attrice infatti interpreterà nuovamente Laurie Straude ma non sarà legata da un vincolo di parentela a Michael come svelato in Halloween II (in which the two are brother and sister). His character also will be characterized by strength and tenacity.
Directed by Halloween there is David Gordon Green (author more of comedy genre films such as "Strafumati" and "The Scarecrow"), who co-wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride. Halloween will debut in Italian theaters next Oct. 25 while the U.S. release is set for Oct. 19, 2018.
Halloween è il sequel del capitolo originale diretto da John Carpenter nel 1978, quarant'anni prima. Lo stesso Carpenter compare in questo nuovo seguito come consulente creativo, produttore esecutivo e autore della colonna sonora.
Also in the cast are Andi Matichak, Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner, Nick Castle, Will Patton, Miles Robbins (My Friend Dahmer), Dylan Arnold, Drew Scheid (Stranger Things), James Jude Courtney, Rob Niter, and Rhian Rees.
Plot: After the events of the first film, Michael Myers has been interned. Laurie hopes he rots in prison but is convinced in his return, and because of this, the woman continues to protect her daughter and granddaughter.
