Universal Pictures has revealed the poster featuring Laurie Strode and Michael Myers and the new Italian trailer for Halloween (USA - 2018), the new chapter in the saga that will debut in Italian theaters on October 25, 2018. The film is a direct sequel to Halloween - The Night of the Witches (1978) by John Carpenter and will ignore all sequels.
It is directed by David Gordon Green who also co-wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride. The cast includes Jamie Lee Curtis (as Laurie Strode) and also Nick Castle. The latter again takes on the role of the ruthless Michael Myers 40 years after the first film (1978).
Plot: Forty years after Michael Myers' killing spree, the heinous serial killer becomes the subject of a crime documentary. When the film crew visits him in prison to carry out the project, the killer escapes, retrieves his mask and begins hunting Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis). Always convinced in his return, the woman has constantly tried to protect her daughter and granddaughter from the psychopath over the years. Now she is ready to confront him.
Among the main performers in Halloween, in addition to the aforementioned Nick Castle and Jamie Lee Curtis, there are also Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner, and Will Patton. John Carpenter appears in the 2018 film as creative consultant, executive producer and author of the soundtrack.
