Jamie Lee Curtis says goodbye to Laurie Strode, character and star of horror/slasher saga Halloween played by her for more than 40 years, starting with the 1978 classic.
For the past few years, the actress has again been the heroine of the trilogy started by David Gordon Green in 2018 with Halloween, continued with Halloween Kills (2021) and will end with Halloween Ends (2022), the last film in which Jamie Lee Curtis will still be Laurie Strode.
Breaking the news of her leave of absence was the actress herself in an interview with TotalFilm: "Based on what I know about the next film, I think it will be the last time I play her." And again, "I'm not saying it will happen because I die. It has nothing to do with that."
Curtis then expressed all her enthusiasm for Halloween Ends, the 13th film in the saga: "I think it will be a spectacular way to conclude this trilogy."
We remember you that Halloween Kills will be released in Italian theaters on Oct. 22.
In this second installment of David Gordon Green's trilogy, Jamie Lee Curtis is Laurie Strode, a character tormented by Michael Myers since 1978 with Halloween - The Night of the Witches. By his side, as Michael Myers, is again Nick Castle ("Halloween" - 1978 and "Halloween" - 2018).
