After the overwhelming Stephen King's Night (link to news story and to the review), The Space Cinema is planning an original series of horror-themed screenings, organized for Halloween week.
From Oct. 30 to Nov. 4, the following screenings and special events will be held in all theaters of The Space Cinema circuit:
- October 30: Marathon Saw ("Saw - The Riddler" + national premiere of "Saw: Legacy“);
- October 31: “Shining" by Stanley Kubrick (+ short film "Work and Play“);
- October 31: “Halloween - The Night of the Witches" by John Carpenter in original version and with Italian subtitles;
- November 2: “Shining" by Stanley Kubrick (+ short film "Work and Play“);
- November 4: “Halloween - The Night of the Witches" by John Carpenter in original version and with Italian subtitles.
Monday, October 30:
La Marathon Saw will begin at 8 p.m. with "Saw - The Riddler" (2004), the first chapter of the famous saga, and then continued with the national premiere of "Saw: Legacy", the eighth and final installment in the franchise. The latter will then debut in all Italian theaters on Oct. 31 (October 2017: horror movies in theaters).
Directed by the master Stanley Kubrick and starring the brilliant Jack Nicholson, "Shining" (USA - 1980) returns (in its 119-minute version) to the big screen 40 years after the publication of Stephen King's best seller of the same name. The screening will be preceded by a screening of the unreleased short film entitled "Work and play".
Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece will be screened again on Thursday November 2.
In addition to "Shining", the original version of "Halloween - The Night of the Witches", the 1978 cult horror film signed by the great John Carpenter and starring Jamie Lee Curtis. The screening of "Halloween" will return to theaters on Saturday November 4.
