Four years after the first news about the remake of the Austrian film Goodnight Mommy (aka Ich seh ich seh), today comes online the trailer for the film starring Naomi Watts ("The Ring" remake).
Directed by Matt Sobel (Take Me To The River) on a script penned by Kyle Warren, the new Goodnight Mommy is a horror-tinged psychological thriller and will arrive on Amazon Prime on September 16.
The story features Elias and Lukas, twins who live with their mother in a country house. After undergoing a delicate operation on her face, she will arouse suspicion in her children because of her face covered by bandages and her unusual behavior. In fact, the two young boys will begin to doubt her identity and try to figure out who the intruder is, triggering misunderstandings that will destroy their relationship with the adult.
Among the protagonists of Goodnight Mommy there are also Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti, Jeremy Bobb, Crystal Lucas-Perry and Peter Hermann.
Naomi Watts also appears among the executive producers along with Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, the directors of Goodnight Mommy (2014).
