While waiting for the new trailer to arrive on Thursday, three motion posters have been published on Twitter. Glass (USA - 2019), the sequel and crossover to Unbreakable - The Predestined (2000) and of Split (2016).
The first is dedicated to James McAvoy (the Beast), the second features Bruce Willis, known as The Overseer (The Overseer), the third motion poster released today instead features Samuel L. Jackson i.e. The Mastermind (the Mind).
Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan (director of the aforementioned films as well as Signs, And the day came and The Visit), Glass sees Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson reprise their roles from Unbreakable (David Dunn and Elijah Price/Mr. Glass, respectively). They are joined by James McAvoy, whom we find in the role he played in Split aka Kevin Wendell/the beast.
This sci-fi thriller-horror will debut in U.S. theaters on January 18, 2019, while the Italian release is scheduled for January 17, 2019, with Universal Pictures.
In Glass, the fate of David Dunn (Bruce Willis) intersects with that of Kevin Wendell (James McAvoy), a man suffering from multiple personality disorder and an extreme form of schizophrenia. The last of these, the “Beast,” causes a mutation in him that transforms him into a sort of super cannibal. The only person aware of the Beast's existence is Casey Cooke (Anya Taylor-Joy), a girl who survived his attack. Crucial to the story is the character of Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), aka “the Glass Man,” an individual who knows certain secrets about Dunn and Wendell and who, for this very reason, will manipulate them to achieve his goals.
In the cast of Glass The cast also includes Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, Morgan, Split), Spencer Treat Clark (The Last Exorcism, The Town That Dreaded Sundown), Charlayne Woodard, Luke Kirby (Halloween: Resurrection), Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story), Adam David Thompson (Here Alone), and Marisa Brown.
