International trailer for Gallows Hill (2013), the supernatural horror thriller in the wake of demonic possession directed by Spaniard Victor Garcia, who has behind him such titles as The return to the house on the hill, Mirrors 2 and Hellraiser: Revelations.
Gallows Hill (Encerrada) had its premiere at the 2013 Sitges Film Festival.
The story's protagonist is David Reynolds (Peter Facinelli), a young widower who decides to travel to Bogotá, his deceased wife's hometown, with his new flame, daughter Jill and son-in-law. The journey, however, is interrupted by a car accident that forces the group to seek shelter in an isolated and dilapidated inn. Wailing from the foundation of the house draws the guests where they find Ana Maria, a mysterious girl whom the elderly owner of the dwelling where they have stopped has segregated in the cellar. Thinking they are helping her, David and the others free her unaware of the terrible consequences.
Richard D'Ovidio, in addition to handling the story along with David Higgins, also handled the screenplay. Prominent among the names of producers is Peter Block known for financing the Saw saga as well as dozens of other major horror film titles. The quality of the music section, on the other hand, is guaranteed by the presence of Frederik Wiedmann.
The cast includes Peter Facinelli (Twilight saga), Sophia Myles (Underworld), Carolina Guerra, Juan Pablo Gamboa, Nathalia Ramos, Gustavo Angarita, and Sebastian Martinez.
Recall that Victor Garcia is involved in another horror film project (Digger) currently in pre-production.
A wait remains on for the official release date of Gallows Hill.
