A man dies in the “crystal” lake before the eyes of his little daughter. After some years, the girl returns to the site to rid herself of guilt. Together with a doctor and her mother, she attempts to bring her father back to life through a séance, thanks to the telepathic powers she enjoys. Instead she resurrects the well-known Jason Vorhees, who, thanks to supernatural intervention, returns to carrying out heinous murders.
By now, the plot finds no breath of fresh air: same cliché, usual stupid and horny victims who are punctually quartered, same final outcome. Tina replaces Tommy in the role of the killer's antagonist, without changing in the least the leitmotif of the previous chapters. Moreover, the telekinetic component is sufficently ridiculous for it to strike the fancy of horror movie lovers. Of the entire series, this sixth episode is the least rich in special effects, created by the director himself, among others. It is unfortunate that director John Carl Buechler fails on both fronts. Final twist (if you can call it that). The film was made in 1988.
