Crystal Lake. Jason, considered dead in the third episode, is taken to the morgue; there he awakens to return to the campground, where his lust for revenge assails him again. On his trail is Rob, brother of one of the previous victims, Tommy and his sister. It will be little Tommy who will be the needle of the scales in this umpteenth installment of the series.
Fourth episode of the most prolific saga in the history of cinema; after the first inimitable Friday the 13th, this (1984) is undoubtedly the best in the series, with excellent cinematography and an eerie ending. Memorable performance by Corey Feldman (fetish actor of 80s horror cinema) as little Tommy, who gives the film that extra something that the previous two chapters lacked. To special effects king Tom Savini returns, proving that class is not water; the splatter gains from this, definitely more palatable with his presence. The direction is by Joseph Zito.
