At the European Film Market (EFM) of the Berlin Film Festival to be held Feb. 9-19, Devilworks will present the following films: The Man Who Was Thursday, Cut Shoot Kill, Population Zero, Peelers, Incontrol and Still Alive.
To mark the occasion, new trailers, stills and posters for each title have been released.

Peelers-posterWritten by Lisa DeVita and directed by Sevé Schelenz (Skew), Peelers (Canada - 2016) was officially selected at the 2016 edition of the The Optical Theatre Film Festival where Wren Walker won the award for "Best Actress."
The film foregrounds beautiful strippers grappling with zombies. Among them is Blu Jean (Wren Walker), a former baseball player who runs a popular strip club in her town. At her very club, a group of miners will spread a strange epidemic, sowing panic and death among the customers, strippers, and managers. Brave Blue Jean will try to protect her loved ones and the fortunes of the nightclub before it is too late.

Joining the cast of this sexy zombie movie are Wren Walker, Caz Odin Darko, Cameron Dent, Al Dales, Madison J. Loos, Momona Komagata, Nikki Wallin, Kirsty Peters, Edwin Perez and Manny Jacinto.

The Man Who Was Thursday chronicles Father Smith's "Faustian" descent into the Roman underground. In fact, the religious man is summoned to Rome for spiritual rehabilitation. Upon arriving in the capital, Carlo, the man who introduced him to the faith, reveals to him the real reason why he was summoned namely to investigate the mysterious leader of an anarchist group of outcasts. The priest accepts the dangerous mission.

Cut-Shoot-Kill-PosterCut Shoot Kill (USA - 2017) is a thriller-horror film written and directed by Michael Walker (Chasing Sleep, The Maid's Room).

In Cut Shoot Kill, Alexandra Socha plays Serena Brooks, a very ambitious actress who gets a part in a horror film. On the set, however, cast members start disappearing, and she will have to get into her character in order to survive.

The cast includes Alexandra Socha, Alex Hurt, Phil Burke, Jay Devore, Lexi Lapp, Zanny Laird, Josh Salt, Michael Oberholtzer, and Lance Channing.

population_zero_poster Directed by the duo of Julian T. Pinder and Adam Lewis, Population Zero (Canada, USA - 2016) is a found footage thriller/mystery inspired by the events that occurred in 2009 at Yellowstone National Park in the United States.
In 2009 Dwayne Nelson shoots to death three men. The killer confesses to the crimes a few hours later but goes unpunished because of a loophole in the U.S. Constitution. Six years after the tragic event, documentary filmmaker Julian T. Pinder reaches the park to investigate this crime that should have shaken the nation and instead went unpunished.
The screenplay of Population Zero is by Jeff Staranchuk while in the cast we find the name of Shane Daly.

IncontrolposterDirected by Kurtis David Harder, Incontrol (Canada - 2017) is a thriller/sci-fi.

The protagonist is a group of college students who, thanks to a strange device, will be able to gain control over others and experience the world through other bodies. The boys, however, will go too far.

In the cast: Levi Meaden, Rory J. Saper, Anja Savcic, Brittany Allen, Christopher Rosamond, Valerie Planche, David LeReaney, and Sarah Troyer.

STILL_ALIVE_posterFormerly titled Paralytic, Still Alive (USA - 2016) is a thriller written and directed by Joey Johnson. In Still Alive, after the murder of his beloved, a killer (David S. Hogan) known as "the ghost" takes revenge on an unscrupulous drug cartel. Meanwhile, the town sheriff will try to stop unspeakable horrors.
