Shooting kicks off for Fetish Factory (Blanc/Biehn Productions), the debut film of American Layne Wilson, who, in addition to her career as a journalist and red carpet reporter, joined her directing career in 2011 when she began directing a few short films.
Written and directed by Wilson, Fetish Factory is a zombie movie based on pin-ups and fetishism. In fact, the film features a clash between pin-ups and the living dead in a post-apocalyptic Hollywood: during a show between sensual burlesque strip-teases, performances by beautiful women imitating heroines of yesteryear such as Bettie Page, Suzie Wong, and Jayne Mansfield, and amid ventriloquism and magic shows, the men turn into zombies and the girls will try to defend themselves in any way they can.
The cast includes Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, Chase Williamson, Jenimay Walker, Diane Ayala Goldner, The Richard, Emma Julia Jacobs, Ruben Pla, Jesse Merlin, Morgan Peter Brown, Tom Ayers, Benjamin Easterday, and Stephen Wastell, most recently joined by Carrie Keagan and Tristan Risk (American Mary).
Lony Ruhmann, the executive producer, is the creator of the story, while photography is by Steve Romano.
The film is produced by BlancBien Productions (production company of Michael Biehn and wife Jennifer Blanc).
Hopefully we will have more news about this interesting zombie movie with pin-ups, meanwhile we leave you with the very first teaser poster.
