Farewell to Federico Frusciante (1973–2026), film critic and YouTuber from Livorno, as well as former manager of the historic Videodrome video store.
According to his family's announcement on his social profiles, Federico Frusciante died at his home yesterday early afternoon following a sudden illness.
Only the day before, he had participated in the YouTube special on Valentine's Day by Criticoni, a project he was part of and with which he had brought meetings and discussions on new releases to theaters and cinemas throughout Italy.
Born on August 28, 1973, in Pontedera (Pisa), at only 25 years old he had opened the Videodrome video store, destined to become a reference point for film enthusiasts. A cult figure in the Italian cinephile scene, Federico Frusciante was very popular on YouTube and on social networks where he was followed by thousands of followers and where in these hours there are numerous messages of condolence for his sad and sudden departure.
