While in Italy it was broadcast free-to-air (on Thursday, April 14 on Paramount Channel) the last episode of the first season of Fear The Walking Dead, AMC has announced its intentions to renew the TV series with a third season. Spin-off and prequel to the more successful The Walking Dead, also Fear, whose U.S. premiere was on August 23, 2015, continues to reap fans among zombie movie fans.
Also created by comic book artist Robert Kirkman for AMC, the series boasts two seasons so far, the first of which has six episodes and the second of which has 15.
The second season of Fear The Walking Dead, also soon to be aired in Italy on Sky platform satellite TV, will begin on April 21 with the first episode "Monster" directed by Adam Davidson.
AMC vigorously relaunched the spin-off by announcing, in conjunction with the premiere of the second, a third season. Needless to say, the new episode aired in America on April 10 was received in the best way by registering a total of 8.8 million viewers. The third season of Fear The Walking Dead will be broadcast instead starting in 2017.
AMC President Charlie Collider took the opportunity to congratulate Dave Erickson and Robert Kirkman for conceiving this alternative series about the living dead.
