It will debut on AMC in August Fear the Walking Dead, the long-awaited spin-off of The Walking Dead which will show us the events leading up to the zombie apocalypse. Already available from the series are teasers and a poster made for the upcoming Comic-Con and which you will find below right.
David Erickson today announced that Fear the Walking Dead will be more of a family drama. In the pilot and throughout the first season, the focus will be on the protagonist family (consisting of Mrs. Madison, her two children Alicia and Nick, and also the woman's partner, Travis), driven by conflict and feelings. The beginnings of the apocalypse, on the other hand, with the appearance of the first wanderers, will be added later.
The series Fear the Walking Dead is produced by Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman, Greg Nicotero, and David Alpert, and by David Erickson, on production by AMC Studios. Dave Erickson and Robert Kirkman themselves are the creators of the spin-off.
The cast includes Kim Dickens (Madison), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Alicia), Frank Dillane (Nick) and Cliff Curtis (Travis) who are the main protagonists of the series and are joined by other characters played by Ruben Blades (Daniel), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Liza), Mercedes Mason (Ophelia) and Lorenzo James Henrie (Chris).
The first season consists of only six episodes. Adam Davidson directed the pilot of Fear the Walking Dead and will also be in charge of directing the second and third episodes.
