Robert Englund plays a doctor in Fear Clinic, the horror genre film directed by Robert Hall (Laid to Rest), best known as a special makeup designer and who this time, in addition to directing, is also in charge of the screenplay together with Aaron Drane. The film is based on the TV series (consisting of five episodes) by Robert Hall himself and from which it also takes its title.
The film's story focuses on the phobias that wear down the human body from within. Specifically, Dr. Andover (Robert Englund) takes under his care five survivors of a terrible accident to help them overcome the shock. The method the doctor uses in his clinic is to make the young people relive their fears, turning them into monstrous hallucinations. Unfortunately, in addition to the disturbing visions that terrify patients during the sessions, something frightening and perhaps even real is hidden.
Fear Clinic will be released on DVD and Blu-ray next Feb. 10 thanks to Anchor Bay.
In addition to Robert Englund, the cast includes Fiona Dourif, Thomas Dekker, Bonnie Morgan, Cleopatra Coleman, Felisha Terrell, and Angelina Armani.
