Addio a Giovanni Lombardo Radice, attore e sceneggiatore italiano e volto indimenticabile del cinema horror. Noto per le sue interpretazioni nei cult horror italiani degli anni '80 e '90, l'attore si è spento ieri, 27 aprile a Roma, all'età di 68 anni. A dare il triste annuncio è stato il figlio.
Nato a Roma il 23 settembre 1954, Giovanni Lombardo Radice (nome d'arte John Morghen) ha interpretato diversi cult horror italiani fra cui citiamo Apocalypse tomorrow By Antonio Margheriti, The house lost in the park By Ruggero Deodato, Fear in the City of the Living Dead by Lucio Fulci, Cannibal Ferox by Umberto Lenzi, Deliria, The Sect and The church by Michele Soavi.
Nella sua carriera cinematografica figurano anche interpretazioni in film d'autore come Prendimi l'anima by Roberto Faenza (2002) and Gangs of New York (2002) by Martin Scorsese.
Giovanni Lombardo Radice è stato anche interprete e regista teatrale (dirigendo per anni il teatro La Cometa di Roma) ma anche sceneggiatore (Incontro nell'ultimo paradiso, I ragazzi del muretto).
In 2016 he published "Una vita da zombie. Vita privata e carriera di una star dell'horror", an intimate diary in which he traced his life, reliving his passion for film, alternating between well-known episodes, unpublished events and anecdotes that happened on the set.
Between 2018 and 2021, he starred in the horror films Rabbia Furiosa - Er canaro, Crucified and Baphomet. In The Well (2023) by Federico Zampaglione instead his last performance.
