Directed by Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare), Fantasy Island enjoys today another official poster in which a skull appears. The film will arrive in Italian theaters on February 13, 2020.
Fantasy Island is the horror adaptation of Fantasiland, a television series created by Gene Levitt and broadcast by the ABC channel between the 1970s and 1980s.
Plot: In the Pacific Ocean there is an island where anything is possible and anyone can fulfill their wishes thanks to the enigmatic Mr. Roarke (Michael Peña). In fact, the man makes the secret dreams of the guests of his luxurious resort come true, but when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the tourists will have to solve the mystery linked to the island in order to survive and thus escape from that place.
The cast of Fantasy Island features Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare), Michael Peña, Maggie Q (Slumber - The Sleep Demon), Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang, Ryan Hansen and Michael Rooker.
The script for the film was written by the director himself in collaboration with Jillian Jacobs and Christopher Roach.
Produced by Blumhouse Productions, Fantasy Island Will be distributed by Sony Pictures.
