After 3 long years of work, the ambitious film project Sweetness Extrema by Alberto Genovese is about to see the light of day, setting the beginning of 2015 as the official release date. Currently in post-production, the crew is finalizing the sound design and soundtrack, which will mix, in keeping with the film, classic sci-fi orchestral sounds with electronica and extreme metal thanks to Genovese's collaboration with composer Antony Coia and bands Male Misandria, Malmignatta and The Piano Machine.
Written, produced and directed by Alberto Genovese (Invasion of the Astronauts), the feature film takes the form of a science fiction film with important tragic veins that are mixed with comedy but without forgetting the horror genre. In fact, to embellish the dark side of the work, in addition to the constant dark of the soundtrack, we will find the participation of actor Eddy Endolf aka Marco Antonio Andolfi, i.e., the genius who made the pinnacle of Italian trash horror known as The cross from the seven stones, a title that has now become a cult among fans of the filmography of terror.
In Sweetness Extrema, Endolf will be the only actor as the film features an unconventional cast consisting of only Sock Monsters, that is, puppets made from recycled materials such as socks, bottle caps, etc... Everything will be accompanied by rich settings made entirely in digital graphics.
A brave, out-of-the-box film that makes its way into the current tricolor independent filmography to present a melange of genres whose matrix is undoubtedly the classic science fiction of the 1950s, now revisited thanks also to the screenplay by Massimo Vavassori (The Perfect Husband, The Alcoholist).
Plot: In a distant universe, Captain Pixws and his ramshackle crew, are called to fulfill a mission under the order of King Grigorio. The cargo ship Sweetness Extrema is to deliver stocks of tanning showers in honor of Efisio Masciago, tragically deceased and now a martyr. The interstellar company of stoned and ready-for-anything former rockers will face the most important adventure of their lives.
In addition to Eddy Endolf, the cast will feature the voices of Giovanni De Giorgi, Alberto Pagnotta, Max Muntoni, Paola Masciadri and Alessandro Bianchi.
