Last June we told you about Extinction (Spain, Hungary - 2015) the Spanish zombie movie in which cold weather prevents the living dead from decomposing. The film is written and directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas (Secuestrados) and features the involvement of Alberto Marini in the scriptwriting stage. July 31, 2015 is the date set for both its U.S. theatrical release and video on demand.
Abstract: Patrick, Jack and little Lu are the only inhabitants of the snowy town of Harmony and are also some of the very few survivors of humankind, now destroyed by a strange epidemic that spread nine years earlier and turned humans into rabid creatures. Coexistence between the two men is not easy, yet they will have to rely on each other when the undead, impervious to frost, find them.
The almost all-American cast includes Jeffrey Donovan, Matthew Fox (World War Z), Quinn McColgan, Clara Lago, Valeria Vereau, Eduardo Fedriani, Lili Bordán, and Daniel Bargueño.
The film is produced by Borja Pena and Emma Lustres for Vaca Films together with Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan) and Juan Solá (Ombra Films).
