In Evolution (aka Évolution) the events of the protagonists take place on an island whose only inhabitants are women and children.
Plot: Nicolas (Max Brebant) is a ten-year-old boy who lives with his mother in a village on a remote island. Here, little ones like him undergo special medical treatments periodically and are cared for by exclusively female adults. Strange dreams and events, however, lead Nicolas to question everything around him, causing him to dwell on his mother's strange attitude toward him. In particular, he would like to find out why the woman, every night, reaches the beach with the others.
The screenplay of Evolution is by Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Alante Kavaite and Geoff Cox.
The cast includes Max Brebant, Roxane Duran, Julie-Marie Parmentier, Mathieu Goldfeld, Pablo-Noé Etienne, Nissim Renard, and Nathalie Legosles.
