Evil Dead Rise: filming status update

With a Twitter post, screenwriter and director Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground) updates followers with a photo from the set of Evil Dead Rise confirming that, after six weeks, filming is officially "halfway done."
Evil Dead Rise Is the fourth chapter in the saga Evil Dead and will come directly to streaming as an HBO Max exclusive, WarnerMedia's platform.

In Evil Dead Rise, Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan play two sisters grappling with a terrifying demon. In addition to the two actresses, the cast includes Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies and Nell Fisher.

Sam Raimi, the creator of the franchise, appears in the project as a producer, along with longtime partner Robert Tapert and his friend Bruce Campbell, the actor who played the unforgettable Ash Williams in the series Evil Dead (a character who will not appear in the new chapter).
Recall that a few months ago Bruce Campbell explained that the new chapter will deviate from previous chapters and that, most importantly, the location will not be the "little house in the woods," revealing that the story will take place in a skyscraper, then in a city: "The Evil Dead are going to fuck up a city this time" ("this time the deadites will mess up a city").

The famous American actor, director and producer also added that the new chapter will be a "Urban Evil Dead set in the present day" and a few days ago stated that the Necronomicon, the famous book of the dead at the center of the events of the saga, will play a very important role in the new chapter:

People can call it whatever they like: sequel, remake, reinterpretation but in the end it is just another chapter in the franchise Evil Dead. And the story will revolve around the book. It will be all based on the Necronomicon. Where did this book come from? What happened to it through the millennia? In this case the action will move to the city. There will be no more houses in the woods. There are very different heroines who do not know that they will be the ones to save the day. Filming is currently underway in New Zealand and everything is going very well...
