New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. have released the official trailer for Evil Dead Burn (Italian title: La casa: Il rogo del Male), the sixth installment in the iconic horror franchise, set to hit Italian theaters on July 8.
Evil Dead Burn serves as the third standalone entry in the series, following Evil Dead (2013) directed by Fede Álvarez and Evil Dead Rise (2023) directed by Lee Cronin.
The film is set to deliver one of the most brutal and violent entries in the series, packed with possession, bloodshed, and demonic chaos.
The film is directed by French filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček, who previously impressed with Infested (2023), from a screenplay by Florent Bernard and Vaniček himself.
Among the producers are Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi, the longtime creator of the franchise.
Plot: After the death of her husband, a woman seeks comfort in her in-laws' secluded home, but what was meant to be a moment of mourning soon turns into a nightmare. One by one, the family members become possessed and transformed into Deadites, turning the gathering into a reunion from hell. In the midst of the horror, she comes to realize that the vows made in life still carry consequences beyond death.
The cast includes Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright (Pearl), and George Pullar.
Following Evil Dead Burn, the franchise will continue with a newly announced installment, Evil Dead Wrath, currently slated for release in 2028.
