European Horror Convention: Latvia between horror, metal and tattoos

europeanhorrorThe 2014 edition of the European Horror Convention, the festival that was established last year and embraces all forms of entertainment related to the sphere of horror in an all-round way. The event is conceived and organized by a large group with experience in the field of music and entertainment consisting of Latvians, Danes, Poles and Italians.

The dates to set on the calendar are those from the Aug. 15 to 17 at the Palais Fontaine, in a sinister Soviet-era factory located in the city of Liepaja, Latvia. These three days of intense horror will witness not only events related to the world of cinema, genre literature and video games, but there will also be live concerts, there will be tattoo booths, art exhibits and extreme forms of entertainment such as body modification performance.

Among the guests: filmmakers, writers and videogamers from all over the world. Film seminars such as one on low-budget horror films by VLM (Venomous Little Man Productions) will also be held.

european1La European Horror Convention, in collaboration with the Fontaine Festival in Latvia and Ink On Wheels in Poland, aims to cater to a wide audience of fans of the horror genre. Partners of the event are the production companies Silent Studios, Venomous Little Man Productions, Empire Video (Alex Visani), Cloudcover Films.

In the festival area are: the Gypsy Camp, an open space where you can watch performances and drink cold beer; the Fontaine Palace; the Fire Bar; and the Prison Bar, the latter of which resembles a prison with cages designated for dancers.

The same days of the European Horror Convention will also be held on the Fontaine Festival devoted to music (ranging from the blues genre to metal).
