Initially set for April 17, 2020, the release date of Escape Room 2 has been postponed to August 14. The film is a sequel to Escape Room (2019), the psychological thriller/horror that debuted in Italian theaters on March 14 and grossed $115 million worldwide on a $10 million budget.
Directing the sequel Adam Robitel is reconfirmed, author of the first chapter and also of The Taking of Deborah Logan and Insidious: The Last Key.
In addition to Adam Robitel, Bragi F. Schut, the screenwriter of Escape Room. The plot of the sequel has not yet been released.
Recall that the story of the first chapter follows six strangers who agree to participate in a game of logic (escape room) in which they will be forced to face a series of circumstances beyond their control. In order to survive moreover, the boys will have to collect clues and use their wits.
