According to Deadline, Sony Pictures and Screen Gems have decided to move (for the fifth time) the release of Escape Room 2 in US theaters from January 7, 2022 to July 16, 2021.
Escape Room 2 Is the sequel to the psychological horror thriller Escape Room (2019) and again features Adam Robitel, the director of The Taking of Deborah Logan and Insidious: The Last Key. The screenplay, on the other hand, is by Will Honley (The Hive), Maria Melnik (Escape Room) and Daniel Tuch (Hand of God).
The plot of the new project has not yet been released. As a reminder, the story of the 2019 film features six strangers who agree to participate in a logic game (escape room) in which they will be forced to face a series of circumstances beyond their control. In order to survive moreover, the boys will have to collect clues and use their wits.
In the cast of Escape Room 2 features Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Holland Roden (Channel Zero: Butcher's Block), Taylor Russell, Indya Moore, Thomas Cocquerel, Carlito Olivero, and Logan Miller (Scout's Handbook for the Zombie Apocalypse, Prey). The latter is again Ben, one of the survivors from the first chapter.
