According to reports from Deadline, Sony Pictures e Screen Gems hanno deciso di spostare (per la quinta volta) l’uscita di Escape Room 2 nelle sale USA dal 7 gennaio 2022 al 16 luglio 2021.
Escape Room 2 è il sequel del thriller horror psicologico Escape Room (2019) e vede nuovamente alla regia Adam Robitel, il regista di The Taking of Deborah Logan and Insidious: The Last Key. La sceneggiatura invece è a cura di Will Honley (The Hive), Maria Melnik (Escape Room) e Daniel Tuch (Hand of God).
The plot of the new project has not yet been released. As a reminder, the story of the 2019 film features six strangers who agree to participate in a logic game (escape room) in which they will be forced to face a series of circumstances beyond their control. In order to survive moreover, the boys will have to collect clues and use their wits.
In the cast of Escape Room 2 sono presenti Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Holland Roden (Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block), Taylor Russell, Indya Moore, Thomas Cocquerel, Carlito Olivero e Logan Miller (Manuale scout per l’apocalisse zombie, Prey). Quest’ultimo è nuovamente Ben, uno dei superstiti del primo capitolo.
