According to reports in Variety, Jessica Chastain (The Mother) is in talks for the role of Beverly Marsh while the very talented Bill Skarsgård will again play the terrifying Pennywise.
Nel cast di questa seconda parte potrebbero esserci Bill Hader e James McAvoy. Quest'ultimo infatti (stando a quanto dice Hollywood Reporter) potrebbe avere il ruolo di Bill (il fratello di Georgie) mentre Bill Hader quello di Richie Tozier adulto. Inoltre è probabile che i giovani protagonisti della prima parte di It return in the second chapter through flashbacks.
As in the novel, It - Capitolo 2 riprenderà gli eventi a 27 anni di distanza dalla prima parte: il diabolico Pennywise ritorna quasi trent'anni anni dopo essere stato sconfitto dal Club dei Perdenti. Il terribile clown è pronto per attaccare la nuova generazione di bambini di Derry ma anche loro vorranno liberarsene. Intanto, molti dei membri del gruppo dei Perdenti, ormai adulti, si sono trasferiti nuovamente a Derry.
