This choral film consists of seven short films directed by New York-based filmmakers. The segments, whose filming took place in New York City, are united by a common thread, which is the propagation of the virus responsible for turning humans into zombies. Empire State of the Dead is produced by Ron Bonk ("She Kills" review) and Jonathan Straiton ("Night of Something Strange" review).
Trama: l'epidemia zombie si sta diffondendo in tutto il mondo. A New York, una piccola pattuglia di marines guidata dal sergente Ritter, cerca di mantenere l'ordine. Oltre a combattere i morti viventi però, i militari dovranno far fronte a gruppi di ribelli. Ray infatti, il signore della droga, approfitta del caos per cercare di governare il mondo.
