New info on the project Empire of the Dead, adattamento televisivo dell'omonimo fumetto di George A. Romero, scritto per la Marvel e da lui stesso ideato. Il fumetto è uscito in Italia con il titolo L'impero dei morti e la storia si svolge in una New York decimata dall'epidemia, dove gli esseri viventi sono cibo per vampiri e per zombie dotati di intelligenza.
Director and screenwriter George A. Romero has announced that he is. 
dealing with the pilot and that he will probably work on the script for the first season. He also hopes to direct a couple of the episodes.
The TV series inspired by the comic book is being produced by Demarest. The director will be joined at the scriptwriting stage by Peter Grunwald, his collaborator on the Romero saga about the living dead.
