Emma Dark (Island of the Blind Dead), a British independent filmmaker and actress, has announced the release date of her horror-action short film Seize The Night which she produced, directed and starred in 2015. In fact, the short film will be available online, free of charge, starting next May 3, 2016.
Seize The Night Is clearly inspired by the saga Underworld. In fact, the protagonist of the story is Eva (Emma Dark), a vampire who manages to escape from a secret government research laboratory to carry out her plan of revenge against those who had locked her up. Among her enemies are a group of werewolves led by Tobias (Carey Thring) and a government division known as Cable 9.
The screenplay of Seize the Night Is edited by newcomer Richard Humphries. In the cast, in addition to Emma Dark: Carey Thring, Anthony Ilott, Paul Ewen, Mark Sears, Chris Hampshire, Sharon O'Brien-Lumley, Merlyn Roberts, Laurence Joseph, Joel Brown, and Beric Read.
The film has been screened at several genre festivals, winning the MMBF Rising Star award at Ireland's The Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival.
