After a series of short films and films in the documentary genre, Michael Thelin directed the feature film Emelie, a horror thriller whose story centers on a babysitter. The screenplay for the film is by Richard Raymond Harry Herbeck. The cast includes Randi Langdon, Sarah Bolger, Susan Pourfar, Carly Adams, Carl Bailey, Thomas Bair, Chris Beetem, Robert Bozek and Michael Joseph Dugan.
Synopsis: A snag forces Maggie, the babysitter who usually takes care of the Thompson couple's children, to send her friend Anna instead. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson can therefore go celebrate their anniversary outside, convinced that they have left their children in good hands. Anna, however, is not the sweet and caring girl she says she is because once alone in the house with the children she will bring out her true character.
